Life After Haskell

Every student must make the step to better their life by coming to Haskell and begin process of hard work and dedication I order to achieve an Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree. Haskell is just the first step, when one is finished their time at Haskell what is the next step in life? What to do after Haskell? That is the question most students must answer when they’re about to walk across the stage. So, I took the time to ask a couple of students. What is next after Haskell??

Alicia Patterson (Miss Haskell 2016-2017) Navajo Nation will be graduating in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. When asked what is next after Haskell?

“Moving to California to teach. Right now I’m in the licensure process here in Kansas and I’m working on certification in California. I am applying to areas around Chico, Redding, and Sacramento. I am going to be certified and licensed to teach K-6, so my options are open and I am willing to teach in any area I am needed.”

Andi Melissa Weber Mohican & Menominee Nation will be graduating in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Indigenous and American Indian Studies with an emphasis in Sovereignty.

“I have been accepted into Kansas University Masters of Public Administration Program so I will be starting classes on the hill a few weeks after graduation. I am very excited for my next academic endeavor but I am also happy I will still be close to the Haskell community. “

Christopher Sindone Cheyenne, Pawnee, Kiowa, Otoe, Iowa. will be graduating in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management.

KU is my first choice. But I’m keeping my options open and still looking into other schools I plan to get a dual Master’s Degree in Business and Law. And continue my education until people call me Dr. Sindone.”
