De’Ja Finley, Taylor Hall and Kari Snelding competed in a collegiate level powerlifting competition at Kansas State University in late April. De’Ja won in the junior weight class of 148 lbs. Kari won in the junior weight class of 118 lbs. Taylor won in the open weight class of 118 lbs. They all took gold medals home to Haskell. The trio are active members of the Barbellas, a woman’s lifting club here on campus.
