Ecclesiastes
by: Krystle Barnett

I deny my eyes nothing
refuse my heart no pleasure
I seek beauty and fame
but only discover entropy
I work for days
but blessings never come
I am discovering earth holds nothing new
that streams never fill the vast sea
that the senses are never satisfied
that humanity’s heroes are forgotten
that life is evanescent
that luminaries die
Futility
