Caring Club Share Valentine’s Day

The club decorated over 70 flowers to give to the residents of Pioneer as part of their community service. Peter, a resident, tucked his flower inside his shirt said, “I have never been given anything as nice as this flower. This is something different. Thank you.”The Pioneer Ridge Health Care facility residents received flowers from Future without Poverty/Caring Club students in appreciation of Valentine’s Day.
Many senior citizens get placed in these facilities and unfortunately they are Louise smiled and said, “Thank you, I’ve been here six years today. You all just made my day!forgotten. The concept of giving back to share a little happiness is what this club is all about. Club President, Victoria Wilson stated, “If I can do this again – I am. This gives me awarm fuzzy feeling in my heart. Elders are so subtle and never ask for anything.”Mallory Ross, Activity Director said, “This is so sweet, they will love it. A lot of the residents here don’t get anything. The flowers are real pretty.”
Not only did the residents of Pioneer Ridge get flowers but Haskell community as well. The club walked around campus handing out flowers to staff and students making them feel special.
“You just made my day better,” said VenidaChenault with a big smile.
